IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY MAURICIO JIMENEZ

Mauricio Jimenez was born in Medellin, Colombia, and arrived to the United States as a young child. As such, Mr. Jimenez developed a passion for immigration as he witnessed his family endure the stress, anxiety, and expense that coincides with the road to acquiring status in the United States. Mr. Jimenez graduated from Barry University School of Law and tailored his curriculum to aid with his eventual practice focus in Immigration and Criminal Law.

During his time in law school, Mr. Jimenez interned with the Crown Prosecution Service in London, England, where he worked alongside Barristers and Solicitors on cases that dealt with extradition, rape, murder, and several misdemeanor level offenses. Mr. Jimenez also interned with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE), located here in Orlando, Florida, where he practiced alongside Assistant Chief Counsel’s primarily in matters dealing with Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, Immigration Bonds, N-600 filings, and appeal briefs before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

As an attorney, Mr. Jimenez has continued to excel in representation before the Orlando Immigration Court, United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), and Enforcement and Removal Operations. His experience in criminal and immigration matters has also helped him narrow issues to successfully defend clients in criminal matters by advocating for dispositions that would reduce or negate the immigration consequences at hand.

Mr. Jimenez draws from his family history to fuel in his defense of immigrants. He prides himself on working diligently and effectively to reach the optimal result.
